Our comprehensive research to obtain repeatability
of results discovered that some days, and hours of
the day, are better than others for recording raw
data in the field.
This research led us to our proprietary software
Etide. Etide uses the scientifically documented
solar-lunar cycles, and their known effects on the
earth, as well as the manually entered specific
coordinates of the prospective work areas. (Fig. 1)
The results are shown in tables of positive and
negative microgals of the gravity fields of the earth
in 5 minute increments, 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week.
Investigating further, using this information, we
found that optimum data recording window(s) of +/-
3 to 7 days per month exist in each general area of
specific coordinates. All things considered, this will
allow for repeatability from month to month and
year to year.
Therefore, to insure this repeatability, we only
record the raw data on these specific solar-lunar
cycles. This results in approximately 56 optimum
days per year for data acquisition in the field within
specific coordinates. (Fig. 2) Factoring in the
weather, you can lose up to 40% of these optimum
recording days in any given location.
Our goal is to provide the most accurate picture of
hydrocarbon accumulation (if any) in your area of
interest for drilling purposes.
